As Alan gets hurt, a bright light burns the door away and saves him. He kills Clay with the axe he wields and turns into a Tornado again to try and kill Alan.
The door closes behind Alan and the tornado turns back into the hitchhiker in front of Clay. Alan runs across a bridge and runs into Clay Steward who tells him to run into the house. He manages to escape him, only for him to reappear as a tornado. Alan encounters the Hitchhiker, only more shadowy.
